A friendly olive python (Liasis olivaceus, ~2m) from the Kimberley. Olive pythons are the second largest snake in Australia, attaining lengths greater than four meters. They inhabit escarpments and rocky outcrops, retreating under spinifex grasses and crevices during the day. Being large-bodied, adult olive pythons feed on a variety of large prey including waterfowl, flying foxes, rock wallabies, and goannas.
