We were so lucky to see this baby Komodo dragon (well, actually it was an impressive spot by James!). At just ~55 cm long, it was impressive to think about how large and powerful this little one will become. Our guide estimated it to be about two months old. For now the young dragon will spend almost its entire time in the canopy, out of reach from the larger Komodos on the ground. The yellow speckled pattern is most vibrant in young Komodo dragons, and it will fade into gray and red hues as the dragon matures.
