Lophognathus on Termite Mounds

Adult male Gilbert’s dragon (Lophognathus gilberti) or swamplands lashtail (Gowidon temporalis). As always, hard to tell the two apart!

After foraging on a trail of weaver ants / green tree ants (Oecophylla smaragdina), this dragon reacted to my presence and scurried up two termite mounds, bobbing his head vigorously.

Photographed after slight disturbance [2]
