
A “Christmas tree” morph of the eyelash pit viper (Bothriechis schlegelii) lies in ambush near an abandoned house in the Osa peninsula. Eyelash vipers are so diverse in coloration and pattern. Every individual I’ve seen has its own different bit of flair.
