Today I head to the Kimberley with my friend Greg, where we will camp out on an island for the next two weeks! I’ll share my wildlife encounters after I return to the frillies. Here’s a macro showing contractions of the iris sphincter muscles in the eye of a satellite male frilled dragon (Chlamydosaurus kingii), giving the pupil a corrugated outline. I’m not sure that I’ve ever seen this before in a reptile eye.
